Tenille Townes- Mackintosh Church, Glasgow 02/10/2026

4/5

Tonight’s show is the final date on Tenille Townes’ UK Living Room tour, and she insists that she’s saved the best for last.

Support from the evening comes from local talent Abigail Pryde, who you may have seen before with her band Heron Valley. Pryde is a great storyteller with a beautiful voice and a real pleasure to listen to.

The Mackintosh Church is the perfect venue for this evening’s performance due to the acoustics and atmosphere of the venue. During the quieter moments of Townes’ set, you could hear a pin drop inside the church as the audience are rapt throughout.

It’s a solo tour, which gives Townes the freedom to mix up the setlist and take requests; one particularly special moment comes when a young fan with a sign request is brought onstage to have her request fulfilled and the sign autographed.

The setlist features songs like “The Acrobat”; “Grey Like Emmylou” and “Ordinary Love Song” which is a good mix of older material and the newest album. Townes is a storyteller and she gives us a bit of background before each song and seems completely at ease with her audience.

This was a wonderful close to the UK Living Room tour, and it is clear Tenille Townes has a firm fanbase here.
